Visits!

How lovely it is to have friends that can bring such simple joy to ones life.

One of my dearest friends at the moment is visiting, reminiscing and chatting oh the small things.

Excitementtttt

Well at the moment, life is certainly quite hectic!

Making plans for Europe, booking flights for Dubai, completing assignments and trying to find another job so I can earn more $$$

But it’s going fabulous. First off I finally got my license yesterday which is fantastic!

I received an e-mail about the Dubai public relations conference. One of the activities concerns selecting on of these four areas of public relations industries:
Environmental public relations
Media and entertainment industry
Tourism and culture industry
Sports industry

In each group they will see the local public relations activity and meet Public relations experts in each of those fields!

I am torn between media & entertainment and tourism. I’m sure I will eventually go with tourism but media and entertainment would be extremely interesting!

They both sound amazing, I’ll do eini-meanie-mini-mo!
Stay tuned tomorrow I get to book my flights and come out with my itinerary.

If anyone reading this needs help sorting planning and keeping all the thousands bits of information you need when planning a trip, have a look at Trip it, a free online travel planning site, it also has a downloadable app for smartphones, I have been using it and so far it has made everything so simple and easy to keep track of!

I love the idea that we don’t discover new truth, but we are only learning what already exists. It is a different sort of perspective, it’s not a new truth it’s simply something you didn’t know existed, but now you do.

Day 1 & 2 & 3

I shall begin with pologizing. I did say i would update this everyday but alas I have been busy having fun.

Here is  a short update as i procrastinate my time away from studies.

To begin with my flight from Perth to Melbourne has be delayed by 45 minutes, therefore instead of flying in at 6am Saturday morning, i arrived at 7am, no big deal. Now heres a funny little anecdote. Being a poor university student i flew with the budget airline Tiger, precariously risking my life in the process of saving $50.00. Th really only big downside is that when you arrive at your destination there lounge where you gather your suitcases is outside in a caged area. At 7 o'clock it was 13'c an dwindy. I was frozennnnn... However that is not the funny part of this story. the funny part is that there is only one exit out of the caged in chook pen, and that is through those swinging cyclical doors, you know the doors that you go through and they pop your ears and they swing around, well in this case once you go through these doors you cannot come back in. Theres the big first issue. Now  a large group of Asian tourists obviously unknown to them did not realise they were in the baggage collection area already and continued to breeze on through the exit door.  Watching them in my informed superiority i assumed(of course I knew they were ignorant) that they had no luggage. The look on all of their faces when they realised that they had simply walked straight on past was worth a  million dollars! However luckily one of tehir party still remained inside the "terminal" and was delegated to hauling out over half a dozen large suit cases.

Welcome to Melbourne.

Following that I caught the Skybus into the city, then a train from Southern Cross station to Flinders street station. Then I hit a snitch in my plans. All was going along swimmingly, I was about to board the train to Glen Iris that would lead to my final destingation. Kirby and Jones Frat house. Some of my besties from the Air Force. However out of the speakers blast the next Glen Waverly (this is the train i need to catch) shall be running express to Richmond. WHERe THE FRIG IS RICHMOND? IS IT STILL STOPPING AT GLEN IRIS?? I AM I GOING OT GET LOST? WHAT DO I DO??????

Panic mode slightly. But at this stage i had had two hours sleep, and wanted bed. I got on the trained, after being slightly abused by a person with disabilities for having red hair, and prayed to God that this magical transportation device would drop my off at Glen Iris station.

It did!

I then found rest at Frat house, however not for lond. As we then got dressed showered and headed out fr a day of site seeing and shopping.

Day two consisted of hitting up the Vic markets and gallivanting around!

Whilst today was home work day- not to productful. Accounting is still winning :(

but tomorrow shall involve a sleep in, bit a uni work, brunswick street shopping and then DFO :)

 Excitement muchhhhhh!
